Shopping :

Sunland Shopping Centre

Situated only 100 metres from the Resort. This centre has little boutiques, KMart, Coles, Shoe stores, and a variety of other specialty shops. The main street of Caloundra, Bulcock Street, has a vast variety of boutiques and specialty shops also, however the main Sunshine Coast Shopping Centre is Sunshine Plaza at Maroochydore.

This centre is enormous with every shop imaginable. This centre is approximately 20 minutes North of the Resort. There are door to door pick ups from the Resort for Shopping tours or alternatively there is a bus shuttle departing from the Caloundra Terminal in Bulcock Street at least 8 times per day. Kawana also has a large Shopping Centre which is situated approximately 10 minutes drive North of Oasis.

Sports :

Golf

The nearest is the championship course at Caloundra which is 10 minutes drive from the Resort. There are two Resort courses within 30 minutes drive from "Oasis". There are many more golf courses on the Sunshine Coast ranging from very easy to very difficult and all are exceptional for their beauty.

Sailboarding
The Pumicestone Passage, 80 metres from "Oasis", is world-famous for sailboarding. Lessons and hire equipment are available.

The Pumicestone Passage also provides great fishing and crabbing sport. Boat and tackle hire is available locally. Deep-sea fishing and diving trips leave from Mooloolaba Wharf, 15 minutes drive from

"Oasis Resort".

Air Sports :
Caloundra Airfield is two minutes drive from the Resort and there you can try a tandem skydive or a joyflight to take in the beauties of the Sunshine Coast.

Caloundra, the city of beaches, has six of the best Queensland beaches within its boundaries.

Racing
Corbould Park Racecourse is the Sunshine Coast course and is situated in Caloundra, about four minutes drive from "Oasis Resort". This course is considered to be the best provincial racecourse in Australia and usually holds race meetings each week with entertainment and meals on course.

Portobello's fabulous three-bedroom apartments are very spacious, luxuriously appointed and feature a wonderful open plan design for family beach living.

Three balconies, two bathrooms, two TV's and a huge spa are among the attractions to these apartments.

The main bedroom has a queen size bed, TV, a walk-in-robe, and fabulous ensuite with a spa enclosed by glass bricks.

The second and third bedrooms have two single beds in each, and also have their own bathroom.

The views are overlooking the natural parkland and sand dunes, and the tropical landscaping and lagoon pool.

Disabled Apartment :

Portobello's disable-friendly apartment is a one-bedroom poolside apartment. It is serviced by a lift, and has an oversized deck out to the pool with outdoor furniture and large market umbrella to enjoy outdoor living and sea breezes.

The apartment has all the standard disabled fittings in the bathroom and toilet, and both the apartment and resort is wheelchair friendly.

Guide dogs are welcome.

Only 20 steps from the front door of Portobello is the Sunshine Coast's best kept secret - Dicky Beach. Named after the wreck of the S.S. Dicky which ran aground in 1892, Dicky is an excellent surf beach, with both reef and beach breaks all year round.

As it is sheltered from the winds, Dicky Beach is pleasant in almost all weather conditions. The beach is patrolled seven days a week by the Dicky Beach North Caloundra Surf Life Saving Club, and boasts a fabulous beachside children's playground with parks, picnic facilities and even a skateboard/rollerblade bowl.

This stretch of coastline is renowned for its top fishing spots around the Dicky reefs and Moffat Headland. The beach is unspoilt and a true beach walkers delight - stretching from Moffat Headland in the south to Point Cartwright in the north. With a nature reserve for bushwalking, natural rock pools and Currimundi Lake closeby, Dicky Beach truly is a holiday-makers paradise.
